Amedia Upgrades Video Suite Amedia now has real-time 3D video effects! "We were performing all of our 3D moves in After Effects, which was not the most efficient way to go," says Amedia's Jackie Gammie. "In addition to the 3D card, we also upgraded to Meridien III, a dual G5 processor with Xpress v5 software. This now enables us to edit 1:1 and adds loads of realtime effects." Amedia has also added Boris Red 3GL and Boris Continuum, which features motion graphics that have never before been available in a non-linear editing system. Gammie adds, "we now have a stand-alone After Effects graphics station on a Mac G5, to free up the AVID when it comes to rendering in After Effects". |
